Yes you have to disconnect the airbag...
because the wires have to be thru and under the damper
Yep. You disconnect the airbag so the wires can go through, then there's another two connectors that you can easily unplug to get the wires to go through the middle. You'll see when you get to it.
New mod to a mod. I drilled holes on each side and placed lead weights in holes added extra 4 oz overall, real nice feel, matbe a little heavy for some but no match for big manly men like us no??

no it's not, leaving the battery plugged will be fine
ALWAYS a rule of thumb, disconnect the battery when you are working with airbags. It is NOT safe. You might trigger the airbag when you plug the wires back into the airbag module.

It's common sense.
i know that it would be safe to disconnect the battery
but as i've seen other people, they didn't disconnect the battery
but it is true that for safety, its better to disconnect it

If you see other people jump off the bridge, yet you know it's not a good idea. You'll do it anyway because everyone is doing it?
This is very dangerous. It's not good advice to tell others it's 'fine' to leave the battery connected while tampering with the airbag.

Just installed after waiting 2+ weeks because it was on backorder. Took 20 minutes to install it, and took it for a drive. The difference in feel is barely noticeable, but still noticeable. Won't make it feel like turning a 335, but it's better. If only they made it heavier haha.
