I would be surprised if you could even see anything at night with a 12000K kit. I switched from a 4300K kit to a 6000K kit and noticed a pretty big loss in usable light.
I ordered one set from them too. Ordered 10k and it came out looking like 5000k and the left and right bulb when lid up, the color didn't seem match to me. Seems off by a shade.. I guess you get what you pay for..
wow i though HIDxtra hids were loved by all... this is new info.... i was planning on getting their 3000 for my fogs... .. now i need to think about it a little more...
This is the problem you run into when you run aftermarket ricer lights on your car. Every company rates them differently. OEM Phillips 85122+'s or go home.
x2. why would you want to have worst light output. blue lights look stupid, it just reminds me of ebay kits whenever i see a car with them 4300k OEM FTW

i got both my lows and fogs from hidextra and i don't a have problem with them. they work fine and color is as specified. mine are 6000k
over time there will be a few bad quality products for sure, but that doesn't mean you should stop buying the product. and i'm sure you'll definitely be refunded or given a new set.
read their customer review thread and you'll see a lot of people like their shiet!

they're hit or miss. you might get lucky with them, or you might not. it's a crapshoot, especially since many of these independently-branded HID kits are made in sub-par quality control environments.
case in point, many HID bulbs are not correctly rated in terms of color temperature, have sub-optimal light output, and/or have short life spans - and that's not even getting into worst-case scenarios.
if nothing else, think of it this way: they're cheap for a reason, and not because the retailer/manufacturer are handing out good deals...
Damn, that looks straight up blue. I would say those are a guaranteed ticket in CA. Luckily in FL the cops aren't as strict!!
Buying the HIDExtra kits are definitely a crap shoot, but then again, what can you expect for $50-60? Silverstars are just regular bulbs and those already cost around $30 last time I checked. I have a 6000K kit on both my headlights and fogs and they work fine. They actually work better then the XD kit I previously had, which cost 2X more.
