12k hid kit
i bought a pair of low beam 12k from hidextra.com and installed onto my car. 12k is suppose to be like pure blue but somehow its pure white when i install them... anyone know why?

again, the "k" behind the number stands for "kelvin".
at 12000k, you're looking at purple-colored light output. if that's what you're looking for but are getting a pure blue (8000k? 10000k?), then chances are you got the wrong color kit. don't assume that just because it's labeled "12000k" that it IS "12000k". let them know you didn't get what you're looking for, and return the kit.
on a related note, why do you even want to run 12000k HID's? there's not enough useable light with 12000k, and the color looks, well, ridiculous. unless it's really purely for personal preferences (which then would lead me to question them) i would suggest looking at something with a lower color temperature, like, say, 8000k. at that color temperature, you have a decent mix of color and light output.

Might be hidextra bulbs I got 8000k for my fogs and they are whiter than the 8000k I got for my lows. Then again my lows are Garax bulbs, but my lows are white with hint of blue, whereas my fogs are really white lol they match well enough though but I'm pretty sure if I changed my lows to 6000k it might match better and I can see better at night.
