the main reason was probaly the price. the gs300awd that i was looking at was about 10 grand more ... but figured the 10 grand can go towards something else instead. lol so opted out for the 2IS.

so does this 2isawd have any recalls?

Is there anything that i should look out for or pay attention too when i bring it in? i remember reading about some possible vibrations when in drive or reverse?

any suggestions?
Welcome to the world of the AWD IS!

good an bad news..you seem like a conservative kinda guy with wanting to wait on mods...we'll see how long that lasts ... but things are so limited on what can be done, that you really can't mess the car up too much anyhow.

before too many people start yelling at you, you will want to maybe add some springs to lower it. I had the Tien S-Techs put on my awd and I am amazed how much better the car feels.

Secondly snag some wheels. Consensus of the board is to go with 19s. Just do it. and if you want staggered search for the right measurements.

Finally browse around for an intake and exhaust setup of your liking.

The venders on the board seem to be the 1st choice for everything, but if all else fails. eBay the dukey out of stuff.

Nice car! So the general consensus here is that staggered wheels are ok with the IS AWD setup?
