IMHO, you're missing one pedal

For some reason I thought if it was defective I should leave it sealed in the bag so there would be no question if it had to be returned (like them claiming I swapped it for the bad one). No one has answered my question about why only one pedal has the protective film though... I'm such a n00b.

Anybody know where I can order the accelerator pedal by itself? I ordered the "dead" pedal and brake pedal separate. Originally I was to get the accelerator pedal with the "dead" pedal but the site said it only comes with the whole assembly which was almost 400 bucks. It's a little cheaper to order the pedals separate than the whole set, so that's why I did it instead of buying from Sewell.

LOL.....funnnnnnnyyyyyyyyy. It takes a lil bit of patients but its an easy DIY'er.

Ps....it comes with the protective film cuz thats the only pedal you are suppose to use and protects it from the hard stompage that comes with the IS "fever"

Who buys aluminum sport pedals and keeps a piece of blue plastic on top of the accelerator though? I'm just trying to save myself from looking completely retarded here.

Is it just for the look or any reason to get the sport pedals?

Mostly for looks, maybe your shoes have less of a chance of slipping?

If it is just for the look and feel, ~$200 is too much, and how often do you look down while driving with your feet on those pedals? or keep your door open so people or yourself can see it? I think I will pass.

a bit of sour grapes?

all seriousness though, like a lot of other stuff for the 2is, it's just for the "have it" status. some will fork out the money for it, and some won't.

you keep thinking that, but here's some food for thought:

unless lexus is using the same exact parts for the next-generation IS, they will most likely stop manufacturing and retailing them, causing them to become even more rare AND thusly expensive.

keep waiting, and you might end up paying MORE.
