So yeah... i painted my caliper myself !

I been wanting to do this for a while now...

So here is the problem, my friend just came over today and told me the emblem is gonna melt if i put it there..... So, is there anyway to protect the Emblem from the heat? or this is just Undoable?

what do you guys think? anybody like the green caliper?

the 3M will proobbaly melt right off after use. Calipers get really hot. only way to really secure it is if u find high temp glue... or u can spot weld or somehting i dunno, but yah, just 3M itsellf wont do it.

great job on the DIY. i don't think it'll melt. many people have stickers on their brakes, and those don't seem to have melted.

my oninion is to not put the badge on. it's not an ISF or fsport part. just imagine an M on the brakes of a 328

i just think it would be really cool to have the F on the brake, since i do have F sport equpped emblems on my car, so i am not trying to be an Is-F, it is just a more comestic thing for me.... you did bring up a good point, if stickers don't melt, then the emblems should be able to stand heat much better than stickers right?

Not feeling the green but clear coat it and then put the decal on and put a layer of clear coat on it.

Looks like dampachi threw up on them haha. Imagine how dirty the emblem will get! Pretty sure they'll melt since they're plastic.

But there not f sport brakes. I kinda agree with onihc. But its your decision. The emblem may melt and cause you future problems. Why don't you just get the decal and clear coat it like Sytfu_IS said. I kinda like the green something different. I would of liked it more if it was lime green though...thats my favorite green. GL with your project

while i question the color you chose and the attempt at tacking an F badge onto the painted caliper (which would create a color clash, imo), i commend you for painting your calipers.
