Default How to restore cherry wood???

My cherry wood in the center is all cratched up and full of swirls. Is there a way to bring it back to its "as new" glory? There HAS to be a way to atleast remove the swirls no??

Mine were pretty bad when I bought her. I guess the person had rings on or something. Anyway, I used a scratch remover from the autoparts store. Like plastix, then I waxed it with regular car wax about 5 times. IT was a GOOD car wax.

This is what mine looks like now.

There's a similar thread long ago, I remember someone said something about "Plexus".

a nice cutting polish like Meguires 105 should work well to remove scratches from the clear coat over the wood, then apply a nice wax when you're done as stated above.

Same problem. Thanks for the suggestion.

BTW, cherry wood interior looks great on this car.

You restore it to carbon fiber! Use plexus or a conventional plastic scratch remover.

Invest in the console guard from aerotect.

A car wax isn't going to prevent swirls and scratches. Every time there is dust on it and you wipe it away it'll scratch the finish since the wood is just clear coated. Personally I would just polish it once and get an aerotect console guard like someone else said.
