This reminds me of the day I was driving the new is250 home in Feb 06'. My mom is following behind me and she calls me saying the exhaust is shaking a lot up and down. I tell her there has to be some play or else it would put a lot of stress on the headers, etc.
But every time I see another ISx50, sure enough the exhaust bounces up and down. I feel it is more noticeable on our cars than others. Get some poly urethane exhaust hangers.

I imagine this is a case of a design trade-off. I'm no expert but would imagine that the stiffer hangers that would keep the exhaust from bouncing would transmit more vibration and noise from the exhaust to the body and then the cabin. Lexus has clearly made effort in design of the car to isolate noise and vibration from the cabin and this is a bit of that result.
