Would you trade your ISx50 for an IS-F?

The IS250 fits with my priorities for a primary use vehicle, the ISF is off the mark (low mileage, relatively rough ride). Maybe when I don't have to commute 90 miles a day I'll change my mind.
When the time comes, I'll probably add another car rather than trade up though. And having both a 250 and an F might be odd. Top candidates for the weekender vehicle include an SLK55, a C6 vette, or a GTR if I'm stretching it.

I was on the fence, as it took a while to grow on me, but I did.
I still prefer the ISx50 styling, but the mechanicals and updates to the F leaned me in that direction. After driving one, I decided it was for me.
Both are excellent cars, either way.

I always thought I would, I got a chance to drive an IS-F last weekend, here in Chicago.
+ More power on demand when already moving
+ More looks from people
+ Much nicer exhaust note
+ Cool Gauges, F style interior nice
+ Handling much more solid
-Overall MPG was 12.4 in my buddy's car- eww
- VERY rough ride, I felt every pot hole and crack in the road, got out and felt like my back hurt! lol, def not a good commuter car
- No ventilated seats
- Power almost felt the same as my 350 off the line from a stop
- excessive tire spin on cold streets annoying
Overall, much more sporty car obvoiusly, but for a daily driver, it was nice to go drive home my 350, so smooth and comfy

Was consider the upgrade when the IS-F first came out. Then especially interested when the 08 IS-F was on clearance sale. But, common sense kicked in since I don't track and the maintenance on the IS-F brake/rotor alone was insane - the pads and rotors reported by owners here seems to wear down fast (anywhere from 10-20k miles) and expensive to replace (for me anyway). The 350 is plenty for me as a daily driver.

The rim and the exhaust definitely set it apart from the billion of other 2is out there. The power is nice, but LA traffic, no point when you can barely go fast anywhere.
Biggest factor is money. Unless you're making well over six figure a year, I don't see a point in spending so much money (50K) on a car when there's more important things in life like buying a house, taking care of the family and investing in the future. I know people that drive nice Luxery cars but still living in their parent's apartment, busing tables at restaurants.
When I'm 50 or older, I'll probably be driving a camery, the old asian man car.

+1 but then again I love most things "M." I do prefer the E90 M3 styling to the IS-F though. But to stay on topic...
I will say this though, if you can comfortably afford it and are on the fance, DON'T drive it. I think once you drive it you'll buy it. My g/f and drove an IS-F when her IS350 was in for service and damn, even she started to think about trading up and her car was only like 6 months old; she bought it her car before the IS-F was out, had it have been on sale, who knows... haha

For what my car is, which is a daily driver, I wouldn't pay for the upgrade. The 350 is plenty fast (more HP that I can practically use most of the time anyways), and handles nicely w/ the F-sport sway bars.
