Hey guys,

I called a well known body shop here in town and after looking at my front grill, he recommended me to get "Plasti-Dip". It's a rubber coating that can be applied and he said that will be a lot eaiser to apply and better than vinyl wrapping? Apparently you can peel off this material because its a rubber material, it's not prone to chipping.

I just picked up black Plasti-Dip here in town and will be applying it this weekend. I will post pics of how it looks for you all!

Price for 11oz can of Black Plasti-Dip: $16 CDN.

SO did you do it?? pics?? I just painted my emblems with some duplicolor paint can. I don't think the rear is in much trouble of getting chipped..

I was bored so i removed the grill and painted it too... No sanding or anything. I know thats not the right way but it was just a spare the moment thing until i wrap it. The parts are drying right now.

My problem is the lower grill.... How do i remove it??

use plasti-dip (home depot carries it) trust me. ive used it on countless peoples vehicles. (swear by it) no need to prep the grill just clean it with alcohol and spray. if you dont like the result you can always peel it off. (rubberized paint)

vinyl it. paintong your grill is a waste of time, who wants to keep taking off your grill and repainting it? don't know which part of CA you're in, but check out vinyl styles, lyle has gotten rid of a bunch of chrome on my car. http://www.lylesvinylstyles.com/
he wrapped the sharpie is350 and is seriously legit at what he does. This also gives you the option to remove it if you ever end up needed to get your car back to the stock look.
