I happen to be the only Lexus owner among 10 friends (yes, everyone has a Beemer). I was invited to roll with them to this year's Meet at the Rose Bowl. We figured having a bunch of M3s guarding me while Im on the 210 will look sick.
I'm in the same situation as you. There is a big car meet on the 28th, and none of the members here in the northwest want to go to it. So my buddies at e90post added me to their convoy list. I'll be trailing behind a bunch of M3's. haha.
Do it! Great opportunity for pics. Besides, the ladies always likes a man who can stand out....and your lexus in the flood of bmw's will sure get your noticed!
I personally wouldn't. Have you ever roamed around BMW forums. All of them bash on Lexus and call it a glorified "Toyota" and calls the IS a fixed up matrix.
alot of ppl jus feel tough behind a computer screen but when in person and they see how nice the IS really is... youll be getting compliments.. but of course there will still be some haters
Beemers are what they call the BMW Motorcycles, not the cars. Then again, what do I know? The event is called Bimmerfest. I'll be there also with my buds.

why not? i admit it, lexus is a toyota, i don't see anything wrong with it.
i wouldn't call it an "invasion", since they'll outnumber YOU. i'd say it's more like an invitation, though...
with every brand enthusiast, there will always be brand fanboys (yes, those exist here as well - even some in this thread, but i digress) and those that appreciate other brands. you'll get equal doses there, so take it for what it's worth.
at the end of the day, it's about you and your friends attending bimmerfest. enjoy the meet, and have a good time in the presence of good company.
