to the OP: i don't understand why you're changing from 8000k to 10000k. if you're doing so because the color isn't "blue" enough, then you probably got some cheap, crappy bulbs that aren't properly rated (or simply just "suck").
6000k = white with a hint of blue
8000k = bright blue with a hint of white
10000k = blue
not only so, once you pass 4000k-5000k, the amount of useable light decreases. by 10000k, it's more color than light. good luck driving on dark, unlit roads with 10000k.
my suggestion is to go get yourself a set of quality 8000k bulbs (or kit, if you don't have HID from the factory) to get the right color and see for yourself.

The blue parking light are very eye catching. especially in the morning and night. different brand of HID color always different. i order this set from JDM Toys on ebay and the mention deep blue, but after i installed i would said super white instead of deep blue. the percentage of getting ticket between the blue parking light and the headlight i would said 70% VS 10%.
So that's why i am not worry switching the 8000K to 10000K.
