so the bodyshop scratched my sidemirrors the JDM one wit LEDs i got from Nigel and are goin to purchase the OEM 09 sidemirrors with LED... just wondering if that will fit the 08 is

 

you need the entire housing. not just the back cover like with the JDM one.

First of all, the mirrors Nigel sold you are not JDM.. They are made in CHINA. If the reason you bought them, thinking that they are real JDM.. you've been fooled.

 

JDM doesn't have to be made in japan. just has to be what is used in japan. most things are outsourced to china anyways. that's the beauty of competitive advantage and open trade

JDM cars and the cars we get here are made in the same factory(e.g. Tahara plant). but JDM means that the car is what is used in Japan by the Japanese people. We don't call our cars JDM since it was made in Japan.

No, they will not fit. For you to use the 09 mirror covers, you have to replace the entire side mirror assembly.

 

The mirrors will work after you rewire the harnesses. I did a swap with a member on the board.

 

buy the entire mirror assembly, and take it to tommy@musicbox since you're close to el monte anyway

 

I hope they are going to buy you a left and a right.. or its gonna look out of place

 

My Genuine JDM Honda CRV spoiler came in a box slapped with "made in China.."

First, it is made in Taiwan, NOT China!
Second, I NEVER said it is made in Japan!

The 2009 mirror will fit on your car, but you will have to purchase the entire mirror.
Price start from $500 to $1000 usd.
Why?
Because it depends on what options/packages do you have your car.
If you do not have certain feature, such as tilt mirror, memory mirror, the housing will be cheaper.

i asked the dealership recenttly about the 2009 signal side mirror, they charge almost usd$2k just for each side..and labor charge not included yet. :S
i doubt they want to install the signal mirror cover since its not from them..

nigel, how much will the 09 mirror cost if i dont have the luxury tilted or memory mirror?
