Default 2007 IS350 Starfire Pearl w/ Sterling interior.....any comments?

Hey guys,

I thinking of purchasing this car and even though its not my number one color combo for the price it is listed it im thinking of considering. I really want Starfire with black interior but for 7 grand less i think i can deal with STERLING.

Anyone on this board with this color combo, and how do they like it. any advice? as in future stains and wrinkles?

Thanks

I think black interior with Starfire Pearl would look a lot better.

just know that with light coloured leather, wearing jeans/leather belts will discolour your leather and seatbelts. it's also more maintainance in general since it won't hide dirt. will hide dust though.

if you like the colour enough to put in the extra maintenance, go for it.

I have an '06 Crystal white with sterling. The sterling interior is a bit more "work intensive" than black interiors. But I do like the combo and it is cooler in the summer. "Yes" , I've owned many black interior cars but I ordered mine this way and have been most pleased with it.

I say no. You obviously WANT black and that is what you should get. If you get this and the interior becomes dirty or stained you'll always say "damn, I should have gotten black interior." At that point you probably won't even be thinking about the $7k you saved...

Overall, I'm not a fan of light colored interiors and especially not in a car with a light exterior, just my opinion though. My g/f has SP w/black interior and it's the way to go IMO... Unless they offered BMW/MB/Audi type of color options, then I could think of a few others! haha

I have GFM with sterling interior and I'm loving it!! No regrets. I don't find it hard to maintain clean. Perhaps, it's because I'm always neat and tidy. Like others have mentioned, you'll find it cooler in the summer. If the ISF white seats were offered, I would've chosen that over sterling.

I agree with the other members... you should always wait and get what you really want and never settle. Having said that, I personally like the starfire pearl/sterling interior color combo. It will probably be a little more work to keep clean but for $7K less, that shouldn't even be a problem. Good luck with your decision. Hope you get your IS soon.

If you really can't find the same car w/ black interior at the same price point, save the 7k and put it towards mods...black interior not worth 7k imo

IMO, you should wait to get the combo that you really like.
I waited for 3+ months to get a GFM with black interior and I was glad I waited
I was on the very verge of pulling the trigger for a Starfire Pearl + tan interior but I didn't.

But as other members also suggested for $7k less its very tempting.
