yea it happens to me too. I think the sensor in the seats go off when the passenger takes off their seat belt and gets out of the car while the motor is still running.

Hmm that's weird, never had that happen. Usually when I drop passengers and still in drive, the side airbag light turns off in like two seconds so the belt alarm doesn't ring.

Happens to me also. I think it might be a flaw.

No that's just how they set it up. Just come to a stop before the passenger takes off their seatbelt next time. Or turn off the alarm.

Not a glitch, just the way it works. I hate it.

Then turn off your seatbelt buzzer.

Put car in park when dropping off a person, then take leave.

Heres the instructions to turn off the seat belt alarm found in the FAQ section. I can vouch for it, i did it yesterday and it worked.

1. turn the key to the ON position which means pressing the start button twice on the new IS since it doesn't has the key, foot off the brake
2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)
3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position
4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.
5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)
6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.
8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.

Does this work for 09+ models as well? I have followed those instructions and tried it several times without any success.
