Default Changing Rims/Tires

As the weather gets nicer, I am closer to switching out my winter rims for my summer ones. The timing with my car service has worked out so that the dealer has switched for me each time so far, but I think I'm going to take care of it this time. The tires are directional, so I know I need to be careful when putting them on, but aside from that, is there anything I should know? i.e. front vs. rear? I think the tires are all the same size...please don't make fun of me! This is stuff I should know, but I feel better knowing that there are Lexus owners out there who probably don't even fill their own gas

Thanks in advance...

wider on rear and skinnier on front, if you have a non-staggered setup up put your tires that have more tread on rear so by the time you change next time you will have close as possible to even tread wear.

Ya save yourself some money and do it on your own. I just use the jack from my trunk. If you have staggered(rear tires larger than the front, front is usually 225 and the rear 235) make sure the larger tires go on the rear. And yeah you gotta make sure that arrow on the tire points towards the front of the car. And you need to own a torque wrench (if you dont go buy one) and set the tires to 80-100 ftlbs and retorque after 100km

I bought my rims/tires from my dealer, so they installed them the first time...then, needed service (which the dealer also does for me) and the timing worked so they were changed back, and so on.

Thanks for all of your help. I'm glad not everyone on here is so high and mighty. The advice I got (re: looking at the wear) was the kind of answer I was looking for. If you don't think I'm worth the time to offer real help to, don't bother wasting your time with my questions.

Everyone else that actually gave me the advice I was seeking, thank you. I'll let you know how it turns out.
