If the backspacing works out would running 245 on 9.5 with et 42 fix my fender clearence issues? And don't worry any discouraging you do saves me time and money as I realize my current setup doesn't need replacing.

that's a big "if", since backspacing for a 19 x 9.5 +42 wheel is 6.9". for comparison's sake, the backspacing for the oem 2is 18" wheel (18 x 8 +45) is ~6.2". you're looking at almost 5/8"-plus difference.

if you're confident enough that the backspacing works, and if you have the time and the resources to find out, by all means do.

OK, I may get flamed, yes I searched, I've read about as much of this thread and couple of others as I can take in so here is my question....

RWD IS350, I have BC coilovers on the way, looking to have it as low as any sane person would go on a daily driver, looking at 19x9 and 19x10s, don't want to have too much stretch but definitely want the wheels flush and some tire tuck, willing to roll the fenders a little but don't want to hack too much since it's a lease. What offsets are recommended? I hate the idea of spacers and want to spec it out right. I've seen everything from 19x9 +30 to +38 on the front and 19x10 +38 to +42 on the rear.

Cliff notes what is most reasonable offset and tire sizes for 19x9 and 19x10 to have some stance/hellaflush factor but still be driveable?

the range in offsets is minor enough where you can get away with running the lower offsets and one-treadwidth-wider tires (same aspect ratio). stance won't be overly aggressive, though you'll be getting close to flush.

i'd run higher offsets and 235/35-19 + 265/35-19 with a zero finger gap to compensate for the slightly-wider tires.

11' IS 250 AWD will getting staggered setup cause problems later on with my vehicle? Wheels I am looking for are

19x8.5 Front 19x9.5 Rear
Offset: 38 Front / 45 Rear

Another thing, how bad do 19's look an IS AWD when the vehicle is not lowered?

225/35-19 + 245/35-19, and i wouldn't recommend any narrower sizes.

while this was probably a worst case scenario-type issue, that's to give you an idea of the amount of damage you can cause if you choose the wrong wheels/tires set-up for your awd 2is.

okay, what else do you want to know about the wheels? i mean, they'll mount up and clear the brakes, but "so what?"

I am currently looking for wheels. I will be lowered on coilovers. I'm looking for a moderate drop (maybe 1-2 finger gap) and sits fairly flush against the wheel well.

I've been considering the Advan RS or the Linea Corse LC818. Both will be 19s
LC818 specs are
19x8.5 +30
19x10 +38
Tires sizes are undecided, as I can pick whatever works best

The Advans come in different offsets I believe, but the ones I was looking at are
19x9 +22
19x10 +25
They come with tires already, 215/35 and 235/35

I'm afraid the RS might be too aggressive; I know I have to make a sacrifice on ride quality (especially stiffness), but I feel like the RS might be too much work to make fit. The LC818 would be a much easier fit. How much more modification would I need to do in order to run the RS?

you would only need to roll your fenders with the advans and the tires would be perfect. and if your on coils adjust height to wherever you want

your going to need a slight pull. and run 225/35 and 245/35 or 265/30 but it wont fit without that slight pull. im not talking about a flare...but just a pull

this is how much poke 10.5+22 has now imagine that but another half inch out.
this was with no pull, just completely shaved, this IS THE THRESH HOLD of your fenders without being pulled.

The height of the AWD and putting on 19's would it make the car look like , or would it be recommended to only put 18's on?

if 2is AWD system will tolerate tires of the same overall diameter w/ staggered treadwidths, 235/35-19 + 265/35-19. however, that's a BIG "if".

now, if ^ is not the case, go w/ 235/35-19 all around.

unless you value everyone else's opinion, do what you want.

not sure, though i don't think you can.

i'd ask a specialist who has experience w/ modifying fenders.
