hey guys,
I'm planning to pick up a set of used vs-xx but not sure if they will fit my is350 lowered on megaz ez w/ about 1 finger gap all around. if yes, any fender mods required?
Fronts are 19 x 8.5 +29 245/35
Rears are 19 x 9.5 +29 275/30
thx,
Eric

Offset is fine, BUT won't clear ur IS350 caliper. If the offset you listed correctly, these should be "O" disk. Rear is fine, but front you will need at least 20mm spacers to clear the IS350 caliper. That will stick out significantly.

caliper clearance is not based on offset in the case of the VSXX since it's a 3 piece modular wheel.
Caliper clearance is based on "Disk Type". T,R,A,O are the different disk type by WORK Wheels. T has the most caliper clearance (less lip) and O has the least caliper clearance (most lip).
For IS350 front, you will need at least R disk to clear the caliper. For the Rear, O disk will clear the caliper. However, if you upgrade to ISF caliper, then it's R disk to clear.
I guess your disk type by the spec you have given, pretty sure it's O disk. If you are buying from someone who has these used, make sure to check the "disk type". There should be a sticker that's attached inside the wheel barrel noting the exact spec of the wheel.

My guess is you'd probably have to pull fenders. I'm running similar offsets, but not as wide, and I barely get away with just rolling. Those wheels would stick out even more than mine do currently. I have pretty stretched tires too.

first way is the easiest way aka path of least resistance. no, it won't fit. look at something more conservative. you save your fenders and your fender liners, and retain your sanity.
second way is slightly harder than the first, requiring trade-offs. yes, it will fit, but you will have to raise your 2is to stock-ish levels. it will look awkward - lots of wheel "poke", but then you can brag about how you're running aggressive offsets despite your 2is looking like a lowrider without the "low".
third way is the Mv350 way: making the wheels fit. yes, it will fit, but you will have to roll your fenders and hope that there was enough of a slight pull to make extra room, remove the front fender tab bolts, bend the front fender tabs up and away from the wheelwell, shave the rear fender tabs, and run semi-stretched tires. oh, and you can kiss your fender liner good-bye, since after rolling and pulling your fenders your fender liner will no longer attach at the fender tabs that will either be rolled flat or shaved off. and all of that still won't guarantee that you will not rub going up/down driveway angles and/or while experiencing sudden elevation changes/suspension compression, but at least you will have a cool parking lot stance (isn't that what all the cool 2is owners are after?).
up to you.

rear just shave or roll completely flat and shave the fender bumper tab bolt down. run a 245/35
there's three ways to answer this question.

haha thank you

the amount of +/- in offset that affects wheel fitment is not as significant as the amount of +/- in wheel width.
read: given the same offset (and same overall diameter), two wheels with two different widths will have two different fitments.
and if you want to go down this path, it's not "if" but "when".
what?
