I've skimmed the thread as well, but with 175 pages it's kind ahhh.

What's a good wheel/tire setup in 19's for a daily driver that see's some "fun driving"? I'd like to have a nice look when the wheels, but don't want to stretch tires like crazy or worry about rubbing when taking an on ramp hard.

Did the whole flush thing with my S2000 and I don't like how more than a simple roll messes with the cars lines.

Anyone have fun with their car driving and still looking good with nothing more than a simple tab bent?

Pardon me if this has been answered already...

Here is what the standard Lexus OEM 18" are:

18 x 8.0 +45 F
18 x 8.5 +45 R

From what I have gathered yet so far, the following are best sizes on a 19" without any rubbing, scrubbing, rolling or grinding required

19 x 8.5 +40 F
19 x 9.5 +35 R

Appreciate ff you folks can validate these, as well as provide the sizes for a 20" fitment that can be installed without any mods like rolling or grinding the fenders.

Thanks!

try the f-sport 19's and their recommended tire sizes.

unless you had something else specific in mind, this is about as easy and generic as my answer gets.

So, I got my mind in some wheels, forgestar CF5...
How do I know what Offset do I want?

Here is what I got in mind
19x8.5 offset from +10 to +50
19x9.0 offset from +16 to +44

I plan on lowering on springs or maybe coils, but will be lowered by the times wheels are purchased.

Regular tires... From my readings I been able to deduce that 225/35 (F) and 265/30 (R) will run nicely on 19s without causing me to rub or anything crazy..

Hi guys -

bit of a wheel/tire noob here. Looking for a bit of help... searched through this thread a bit and haven't quite found the answers to my situation.

I custom ordered my IS350... I got the standard 17" wheels because I was going to switch out the rims anyway to 18", so why buy the more expensive factory 18s?

I've been looking at the 18" Fiveaxis S5:F. To be exact, the 18x8.5 5x4.5 30 offset.
Tires would be 225/40-18 for the front, 255/40-18 for the rear.

Would this work? I appreciate the help very much!!

what brand/model of aftermarket springs? how low on coilovers? you'll need to be more specific.

oh, and like Mv350 asked, if you want to mod your fenders or not. you'll find that not any old offset will work just because you want to run 225/35 and 265/30.

should work, though i'd go w/ 8.5"-wide wheels in the rear if you want to accomodate 255/40-18's and not have it look oversized.

Thanks, projectdna.

All four wheels would be 18x8.5".

i'm sorry; i didn't read your original post correctly.

any reason why you're looking to run a square wheel set-up w/ staggered-size tires?

Well that's part the issue. That's the only size I can get in 18. The FixeAD site says they only come in 18x8.5. I was only going staggered because that's how the IS is set up... I'm not sure how much a bigger tire up front will affect the car. Any suggestions?

oem 18's run 225/40-18 up front and 255/40-18 in the rear.

your listed offsets will push the wheels slightly farther out, though (15mm up front and 20mm in the rear).
