can someone recommend me wheel width and offsets that will be as close to my current setup?

im running 225/40/18 and 255/40/18 tires

i kina want the wheels to go pass the fenders just a little but dunno if my tires will stretch

technically, i implied it.
thank you.
I guess wasnt clear on that when i said
"Wheels specs:
20x8.5 +15
20x10 + 20
"will" 225/35/20 and 245/35/20 fit?
Or do I have to go with 225/30/20 and 245/30/20?
All fenders rolled and on coils. "

but thanks.
I just got an email and they said its gonna be 20x8.5 +20 and 20x10 +20.

Anyone stretched a 215/40 on a 9.5? or a 235/40 on a 10.5?

great source. admittedly i used to use it - until i figured out the calcs.

though, there are a few limitations with that wheel offset calculator, some more obvious than others:

- it gives you values relative to your current wheel set-up vs. values from an absolute fixed point of reference (i.e. the pad where your wheels bolt up to)
- it does not tell you whether the proposed wheel width will clear the fenders
- and of course, tire size is not factored in

but for someone new to the wheel game and looking to crunch some numbers for offsets, that's a great starting point.

^^Yes, ive learn a lot using google for some real experience.. looking to see if any other 2IS owners running 225/35/20 and 245/35/20 on 20x8.5 et20 and 20x10 et20 wheels. so far only found one person (not +20 but +22)but he doesnt say anything about pulling fenders or not.. his name is MrMark and he hasnt been active since 2008 or 2010 cant remember.

this has been discussed before, but since you're intent on those sizes i recommend that you punch in your proposed tire sizes and our recommended tire sizes in 1010tire's tire size calculator (again, i used it up until i figured out the calcs myself) and see if what we're suggesting makes sense or not.

Mv350 and i aren't trying to give you a hard time, but we don't know how else to tell you that, while the widths are fine, go with the lower aspect ratio.

Hi,

Its been a long time , I've bought a set of 19" and I'm worried about tires , I'm not that into tire and wheel fitments so I really need your help guys.

These are the measurements:
Size : 19 x 8.5 (F) & 19 x 9.5 (R)
Offset : 38mm (F) & 45mm (R)

Now , I will be running on stock height , so how far can I go with the tires.
Roads here are rubbish so I'm hoping I can run a 40 or even 45 series tire ? Or Am i too optimistic .

Also I would like to ask , Can i run non-staggered tires on these staggered wheels? Lets say 235 all around ?

I'm on stock 17" btw.

Thanks

too optimistic. try 35-series (40-series would be too tall; 45-series is even taller).

you can run non-staggered tires on your proposed wheel specs, but 235 is a visible "stretch" on a 9.5"-wide wheel. and if your roads are "rubbish", i wouldn't recommend it.

if you're set on running 235's on 19" wheels, here's the skinny: 235/35-19 + 19x8.5" +38 (f/r).

hey steezy i havent done a 215/40 on a 9.5 but i have done a 225/40 on a 10.5 and a 10 they stretched perfectly fine. ive also done a 225/35 on a 10.
and for the pix

225/40 18x10 the rear is 265/35 on a 12

225/40 18x10.5

225/35 18x10

i imagine a 215/40 on a 9.5 will be no problem.

and a 235/40 on a 10.5 no problem cause ive done it with a 225/40.
