Hello Everyone ,
Just picked up my 07 Is250 AWD and I want to buy new wheels . The car is dropped on Road Magnets 2" all
around. I need help choosing which wheel/tire will be the best choice for my car considering the car is already dropped and is AWD. which should I go for?

front 18X8.5 with +25 offset
rear 18x10.0 with +25 offset

or

front 2(19X8.5) With 2.0" Step Lip 35MM Offset
rear 2(19x9.5) With 3.5" Step Lip 40MM Offset

3. doesn't really matter if you're going to be running low offsets and stretched tires. ride quality will suck, period.
What do you mean by pull and the ride quality sucking?

Thanks for the info

highly unlikely.

-blah blah blah spec snip-
go with a square set-up - meaning, front and rear wheels/tires are the same specs.

there's also a thread specifically dedicated for AWD 2is owners looking to run staggered set-ups, but that's not here.

"pull" = fender pulling = extra pressure applied by fender rolling such that it forces the fender sheetmetal to bend outward. the trick is to do it on the 2is is to pull the fenders and still have it flow with the oem fender creases.

and anytime you stretch narrow tires over wide wheels, ride quality suffers because there's no tire sidewall to absorb most road vibrations.

19x8.5 35mm front and 19x9.5 40mm rear.

Would this be a problem for the 1st Gen IS???

i dont drive a 2IS but i have a set of 19x9.5 +33 F and 19x10.5+38 R for sale. Fronts are wrapped with 225/35 and rears have 245/35. Someone with a IS250 is interested in buying them but is asking if fender mods are required to fit it. His car is dropped on Megan LP's. Would somebody please let me know what kind of work is needed to make it fit? Thanks!

From what I've read here, yes. Anything under +30 is going to need work.

Looking at 18/8.5 +35 and 18/9 +40 on f-sport springs. I have brand new stock sized tires 225/40 up front and 255/40 out back. I want a little more width but do not want to worry about rubbing at all as this is my daily driver.

Is this going to get me more flush without any problems? If not, what are more preferable offsets? I would probably go 9.5 in the rear if I were buying new tires and go a little bit bigger, but with brand new skins, gonna stay conservative. Also, I will never go to coilovers, so I am as low as I am gonna get.

TIA

you might need fender mods in the front. you might be able to get away without fender mods in the rear and that tire size.

I have my fitment down, but I need a bit of advice. I actually just dumped my IS AGAIN, but even lower. My front rubs insanely. I'm 1.5 finger gaps from fender to rim in the front .19x9.5 +17 225/35-19. I believe there's a metal section in the front of the fender liner that is causing the rubbing. How did you guys fix that problem? Could someone PM me as I rarely check this thread? Thanks!

you'll need to find someone with working knowledge of the 2is fenders, since there are (iirc) two sheetmetal tabs on the inside fender that won't roll completely flat.

shave it, or bang on it with a hard rubber mallet until it folds inward.

A little help here guys. I need to fit a 19x9.5 10.5 +12 all around. My initial wheels are the same size, but +35 all around. What needs to be done to fit these and what tires?
