18 9.5+28
18 10.5 +25

I was thinking 225s up front but cant decide wether I should go 35 or 40 series.
For the rear 245/35/18??

Thanks
40-series.

it'll be fine, but those are some narrow wheels/tires.

for comparison's sake, the RWD 2is OEM 18's run 8" up front w/ 225/40-18 and 8.5" in the rear w/ 255/40-18.

depends on wheel offsets and tire sizes.

20by what? 20x8 8.5 9 9.5 10?
depends if you are going with the same size all around or staggered.

When it comes to this stuff I am a complete novice. I wanted to drop my car with h&r springs and put 20s on it. What I was wandering would I have to do like a 20x9 all around and I was told not to do a stagger fitment since its an AWD.

Would these be an issue on an 09 IS250
20x8.5 front 35mm
and
20x10 rear 43mm

Tires would be like 245/35/20 in front and 275/35/20 in rear

You may need a slight fender roll, but nothing major.
