Hey CL. Recently came over to Lexus from an 8th Gen Civic. I was looking into getting some wheels with a moderately agressive offset, but not too agressive in width. With looking to install coilovers sometime in the near future, I was considering a 19X9.5 et +12 or +22.

Questions:
-what fender modifications would be required if I would like to stretch the tires and tuck a bit with given specs?
-do you guys suggest a square set up with either offset, or staggered?

Any other suggestions and help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1. rolled fenders + modified fender/bumper tabs.
2. either or. square for AWD 2is's, staggered for RWD 2is's.


i don't know. will the fronts clear the front brake calipers?

18x9 inset +7 R disk, 3 inch lip , tire size 225/40r18
18x10 inset -3 O disk, 5 inch lip , tires size 255/35r18

Also 19x9.5" +36 R disk fronts and 19x11.5" +48 O disk rears

Thanks for everyone contributing to this thread, I've tried searching through it and read most of the posts to what I wanted to ask but wasn't able to come up with a concrete conclusion...

I have the following right now on my IS250 AWD and haven't had any rubbing yet...
19x8.5 +35 235/35/19
19x9.5 +35 275/30/19

I'm wondering if it'll rub (and need fender mods, etc) if I was to install H&R springs

not without considerable fender work.

the front and rear will need fender work.

note that the combination of high offset and 11.5" wheel width may cause INNER clearance (w/ rear suspension components).

both sound like work wheels (which other manufacturer uses "R" and "O" disk designations?). i'd give them a call.

So first off, I apologize for asking this question because I am sure it has already been asked and answered several times... I will be honest though, I'm too lazy to read through this thread to find it so I figured this will just be quicker. Don't hate me

I am currently lowered on Megan EZ's as pictured below


Looking to get a set of 19" wheels sometime in the next year. I want them to be as flush as can be with NO fender modifications (except maybe heat gun mod), NO tire stretch, and NO rubbing.

What I would like to know is if I run either a:

19x8.5f/9.5r - what would be the best offsets and tire sizes
19x8.5f/10r - what would be the best offsets and tire sizes

I figured I would run 225/35/19 on front, 265/30/19 on rear (or 275/30?) so I'm more concerned on the best offsets for the given wheel widths above.

Thanks projectdna, so when you say probably not, there is a chance that it might rub, but most of the time it won't? and is this for the front, back or both?

there is a chance that it might rub when the suspension gets unsettled - moreso for the rear due to the tire size.

(had you actually paid attention to some of the posts on this very same page instead of hacking out a self-deprecating post along w/ a self-serving pic of your 2is, you would've noticed that there are at least two other posts that are asking questions about 19x8.5/9.5 set-ups.)

Not too lazy to search, that is not what I said... Too lazy to read through the entire thread. I tried searching for "no stretch" "no fender modification" "no stretch offset" and saw a few posts but nothing with exactly what I was looking for. Seems like I may have caught you on a bad day or something since it appears you are often the most helpful person in this particular thread. Maybe someone else will chime in and help me out if they happen to have an answer... If not, simply not responding is much more considerate than a rant/lecture. Sorry to have upset you.

Also, I did read the particular posts on this page you are referring to... Neither of them are the question I was asking. They are both useful information, and I have taken note of that, however it did not answer my question.
