So I'm stuck with deciding on size of the rims. I know I want 8.5 in the front and 9 in the rear with +35 front and +30 back.
I plan on 1 to 1.5 finger gap from the tire. What would look better 18"s or 19"s
I just dont want the 18"s looking to small (Which the current f-sports look like) or the 19"s being to big for that kind of drop.
Rims will be WORK VS-XX

Hey guys I'm planning on getting new rims for my car pretty soon but have a few questions I've been struggling with. I want both my front and rear set of tires to sit as flush as possible with my fenders. So my question is can I run 18x8.75 with a 20mm offset in the rear and 18x8.75 with a 33mm offset in the front without any fender mods or rubbing? If so, what are the best tire size I would need to get? I have an AWD IS250 by the way.

Do you guys think the setup below will be OK? I want to be flush don't want to be poking or rubbing.
I have an 08 IS250 RWD lowered on Eibach Pro Kit (1.4 front - 1.0 rear)

FRONT 18X8.5 +32 WITH TOYO PROXES T1 SPORT 235/40ZR18

I am running:
19x8.5 +35 with 235/35/19
19x9.5 +35 with 255/35/19
Lowered 1.5" front and rear with BC Sports.
Go with this set, if you aim for 18" wheels with flush but without poke and without (major) rubbing.

curious about what specs you'll be running in the back... but as far as the front, you'll need a fender roll with some natural pull (you may need more of a pull depending on how low you sit) and you also need to relocate the fender/bumper tabs in the front. If you're gonna ride really low then you may have to bend that fender tab in a little bit. You'll see what I mean if you look inside the fender well.

This should be a very good set up for moderate flush, no poking, no major rubbing. You will rub very slightly on the fronts under extreme dips and hard turn, I am quite sure. The rear should clear the fender, but it will be very close. I answer based on my own experience which is comparable to your setup.
I am running:
19x8.5 +35 with 235/35/19
19x9.5 +35 with 255/35/19
Lowered 1.5" front and rear with BC Sports.

Hello everyone,
I just got the 3IS IS250 two weeks ago. I am so excited and love Lexus IS so much.
I am planning to upgrade 18 inch wheels with stock suspension. I may lower the car for 1.5" max in the future.
Can anyone advise what is the best offset for 18x8 front and 18x9 or 18x9.5 rear?
I checked out the Rays Wheel website. It claimed the 18x9 offset +30 can fit the IS.
I heard some people said the best will be near 40 offset.
Anyone fit the Rays 57FXX in their IS? Would 18x9 +30 or 18x9.5 +38 fit the rear better?
Any professional opinion? btw, I am not planning to mod the fender.
Thanks so much!
