Cold start car creeping problems

I tried searching for this, but I found nothing.
When I start my car for the first time of the day, there seems to be a lag after I release the brake peddle and when it starts to creep. The car doesn't immediately creep. It takes about half a second, but is noticeable. Once the car warms up, it goes away, and only when the car is cold again does it happen.
Any thoughts?
Also, I remember hearing about a warranty update on the ticking sound of the engine. I know it is the direct injectors, but someone said you would be getting a new camshaft and other parts if you complain about it?
Thanks~

No, the ticking sound is completely normal. The camshaft TSIB is for a brief grinding noise at start up.
