Default Help on Vent Removal

To all that have been successful removing the air vents.... I have read all the threads and watched the youtube video... I think that I have broken all the vent clip tabs (or clips). Not sure if they made it to the down position or not, but I still am not successful at prying out the vents, they just wont budge. The video on Youtube makes it look pretty easy. Anyone have any more suggestions and if I did break all the tabs shouldn't it come out??

Any advice is appreciated, all the other trim parts have been successfully removed, so the poor thing is looking pretty torn up. Fortunately no visible scars to dash or other.

I am about to rip the dash apart. I'm getting so mad... I pull those pins down and they don't lock the spring back up into place...

LOL, I got anxious back then to swap out my dash LEDs. Tried to get the vent out but it just wouldn't come out. Eventually, I just pried it out like crazy, breaking loose all the fins on the vent but I put everything back. But, before putting it back, I took off the tabs so all I got to do now to remove it is pull out hard.
