Default Spare Tire

I'm curious to know what people do when they get a flat. I got 19s on my car but my car came with 17s. Could I even roll around on three 19s and one 17? Did you guys just buy another 19" spare? Would it fit in the designated trunk area?

Hmm not too sure. It's the OEM spare tire. I guess I'm just wondering if it's an inch or so difference in diameter, would that be fine just to lug my car to where it needs to go.

it should be. Sucks for us with 19s (Or any rim size) and BBK. our spare doesn't clear them. We need Flatbed

Well my car came with a spare "donut tire" which im pretty sure isnt even 17" and my car has 18" rims and when I got a flat I still used the spare to get to a tire shop. Its not going to hurt your car if you get a flat tire and you only use the spare tire just to limp to a tire shop.

I think you are supposed to turn off the traction control and everything so you don't damage anything. But should be ok. As far as i know the donut is the same size as the stock tires BECAUSE of the traction control. Dealers do that so you wont damage the car when you use the donut.

yeah .. since I have aftermarket rims, my lugs wont even work with the spare. I have AAA so im not worried, they can always come by and fill me with air, use fix-a-flat, or tow me away.

I want to take it out since its just dead weight, but I need to find something to put in the spare's place as it holds up the floor of the trunk...

Another spare tire question, I'll be installing IS350 calipers and rotors on my 250 soon. Will the spare tire clear the 350 calipers I know the stock 17" rim barely clears it so I would figure Toyota would have gotten smart and used the same spare tire for both the 250 and 350 but can any on confirm this?

I can't imagine how it would be to have the donut as a replacement in the awd is250. Anybody experienced difficulties with the all-wheel driving capability?

Right...

But if you had the 5 lugs would you still wait around for a flat bed??

I think you can get them for approx. $2 each..

You can then still call AAA if you want them to change your tire...
