I passed by a big truck on the highway this morning and saw how a big rock flying toward my windshield. I imidiatly started the wiper at full speed and hopped for the best. Luckly it changed direction upward just before it hit my windshield and then I heared a big DANG! It hit my roof.
Did a quick inspection of the roof in the garage at my work and couldn't any damage. Well, will see if it shows up when I wash the car this weekend.

rock chips suck. i could have sworn that a lexus sales person told me there was "reinforced" paint used in the front and rear bumpers. How is that a true statement with so many rock chips....

Shouldn't big chips be repaired? If not, would the metal underneath it start to rust?
This brings me to my next question.. I want to get some touch up paint. It seems like the dealer is the best place.. Any other suggestions? What about approx. price?
Thanks!!

some of the body sheet metals are galvanized. If you do not have experience in touching up rock chips, it is best to leave it to the professional detailers, because you will probably make it worse.
