Dojoman, what size are you rolling on? 18? 19?
You are comparing an All season tire to a Summer tire, assuming you are on stock 18s.
The 960A/S tire will give you better traction in the wet compared to the 760, although I would assume you probably pay a little more for the 960s. Either one you choose will be great tires, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
As for alternates. PS2s are great but also $, and not many people will deny they are great tires, and pretty much the best for street. Alot of ISx50 people love our Toyo t1rs all around price and performance =).
FYI onlinetires.com sells tires pretty cheap and their shipping is not inflated so you may wanna check there. For everyone in so cal you can pick up from their warehouse direct in Cerritos so can get great pricing plus no shipping.

Just got some tires for my g/f's IS and was considering the Potenza RE050s her G Coupe had but went with some Genereal Exclaim UHPs instead. The Potenzas as someone else mentioned did not last long though, she went through 2 sets in under 30k miles and she doesn't drive THAT hard, though she does tend to go kinda fast on the turns and on/off ramps...
Anyway, the General Exclaims get fairly good reviews by the Euro crowds so we decided to try 'em; they're pretty cheap too. First time I ever heard about them a guy was getting them put onto his modded E55 AMG and said it was one of the best tires he's ever used. We'll see what kind of life she gets out of them, she says they are noticeably smoother/quieter than the stock Turanzas.

The Hankook V12s beat the Bridgestone 760s pretty much in every category FYI- (not familiar with the V4 and hadn't seen anyone suggest them either)

Some categories it's closer than others, but the Hankooks perform better in every single one... pretty significantly on the skidpad and wet braking especially (and better than the PS2s in most too)

Cool, thanks for this info. I would, however, like to see how they compare the v12s a max performance tire to the Bridgestone RE50a pole position which is their max performance tire. I only compared the V4 because we were talking all season or summer tires.
But given this, the v12s are pretty damn nice for the price.
I drive in so cal. we get no need for wet tires, I wrap mine in T1rs and called it a day. Would have gotten PS2s but ya i'll save my $$ for mods.
