When I needed new tires to replace my Turanza's, it was between the RE960AS and the RE760. I choose the 760, because they were summer tires with good performance. I hear the 960 are good All seasons, but honestly anything is better than the Turanza ER33 lol

Or you can grab some PS2s ... seriously, the best tires I have ever bought. These tires are "Max Performance summer tires", but they also have amazing grip in the rain!

or for half that price you can get the Hankook V12s, which are even better. They beat the PS2s in both dry autocross and wet braking, are quieter, and longer treadlife too.

But the OP explicitly said he only wanted bridgestones for some reason so neither will work for him

i got the 760's too for the fronts and will replace my backs with the same when it's time. my lexus dealer sold them for $167 front and $187 rear. a much better price than the stock potenza's. they should last longer and seem to be quieter so far.

potenzas are overrated super expensive tires IMO. Those crappy a$$ tires came on the 08G35's, and they sucked. I had to replace the whole set at 12k!! I think it had to do with incorrect toe from the factory as well, but thats another matter. I didnt find they gripped any better in wet or dry than the Fuzions i have on the car now. The fuzions are FAR cheaper and have lasted more than twice as long so far.

I have some 960 Pole Positions on a different car. OK traction in the winter, good wearing but HORRIBLE ride (despite what Tire Rack reviews say) - like riding on solid rubber tires!

Better dry traction than the PS2s, better wet braking than the PS2s, quieter, longer treadlife, and half the price of the PS2s.

I just put them on my car last Friday. So far, I'm pleased - they are the quietest tire I've had on the car, and the ride (in the stock 18" sizes) is not punishing in the slightest. They have a softer sidewall than any other summer performance tire I've owned, which I suspect is the reason a few reviewers have criticized them for being "deceptively quick" or feeling a bit "imprecise". All in all, so far they seem like a great choice for a luxury sport sedan like the IS.
