DDM Tuning - Slim Ballast HID Conversion Kit?
#17
Is this on your lows or fogs? My friend made his fogs DRL, so he's contemplating on whether to get HID for his fogs because it might cause flickering...
If we send it back for warranty, we have to pay for shipping right? (I'm from Canada so it's like $30 USD just to get it delivered to me....)

I got the DDM slim kit. It's awesome. I have it in my 250 and my friend has it in his civic. Never once had a problem with it. It looks amazing. Get the 6k!!!!! It looks like pure white with a slight, slight tint of blue, not very noticeable at all.

That looks like the standard 'rebadged-for-private-label' HID kit that are all made in China. The color of the light output will depend ENTIRELY on which batch these particular bulbs were produced in. What this means to you is if you buy a set of 6000k bulbs now, the replacement bulb you may get if one of the bulbs burns out will not match. That's nothing against DDM tuning - generally speaking all aftermarket HID retailers will have to deal with this. Something else that's common in these HID kits is the flickering at startup. They're all pretty much the same.
What is important in buying one of these kits is to buy from a vendor that will provide you with support after the fact. If the bulbs you get aren't quite 6000k (they may be anywhere from 5-8000k), will they let you exchange them? If the bulbs burn out prematurely (they inevitably will, it's just a question of when) do they provide a warranty on the bulbs? I'd stick with our trusted forum vendors like XenonDepot for things of this nature. Go with someone who you know will give you good customer service along with a good price. Good luck!

well i was planning on buying the 55w ballast and a set of phillips bulb to swap out the kit bulb, this should help prevent the burning anything in the headlight. i was asking if anyone used it and hows the output compared to a regular 35w and hows the color output

Oh. I did find a post on another forum from google about a 4-kit comparison between DDM (55W), Volt (35W), JDM Extreme (35W) and this other brand I forgot the name....weird how they used 55W for the DDM but the result was..the 35W were all about 300% brighter than Stock halogens and the 55W was like 900% I tihnk...... something like that

i have 8k fog light kit 35w from DDM, i say it is bull***** ... my 8k looks like 6k, no blue tint or whatsoever, just plain white but doesn't reach far... doesn't match with my headlights at all...
