Question DDM Tuning - Slim Ballast HID Conversion Kit?

Hi, after some research on brands and prices I kind of decided to go with the DDM Slim Ballast (35W in either 5000K or 6000K)

- Anybody tried them? If so, how long you used them so far and how you like it?
- Anybody know where it's made-in?
- Is their "life-time warranty" legit, or just BS?

The price is pretty decent right now since it's 50% off from their own site: DDM Slim Ballast

Another question is, what do you guys think of 5000K vs 6000K?
I do want a little tint of blue that's why I'm not considering 4300K, but I've read reviews on 6000K being too "bait" and it's not as good for visibility in the rain. What do you guys think?

Thanks!

I have the regular DDM kit (non-slim) with 5k, I like the color. Pure white w/ a lil hint of blue/purple.

How long did you have it for and are you happy with it? I'm kind of scared of reliability problems since I haven't heard much about this brand...

Also, how was the instructions on installation. I'm 120% new at this so I need like step-by-step instructions..

No trouble from the cops for being too blue/bright?

I have DDM HID slim ballast on my sister's camry, my 350 and my bike as well. Love their slim ballast kits. My sister is coming up on 1 year. 1/2 year for my car and bike.

Thanks for the feedback guys! As long as it's not going to fail on me within 1-2 years time I think that's fine. Maybe I should consider buying an extra set of replacement bulbs just in case?

My DDM HIDs are 6k and "the sickest looking HIDs" from anyone who sees them. Cops will not give you any problems. Sometimes when its really dark the hints of blue show up a little, but overall its pure white if you look at it. Even if the bulbs do burn out, the replacement bulbs are only $15, but mine haven't yet after 1 year.

i find the slim ballast more reliable than the regular. i had to replace one of my fogs because of an accident so i just went with the regular ballast. after the replacement, occasionally the side with the new ballast doesn't turn unless i turn it off and then turn it back on.

the 35watt 6k slim ballast hid kit from ddm is the way to go
