The only thing that would be really sweet is like an ISx50 wagon
Other than that, I think our body style for the 2nd gen IS is beautiful. You have the same problem no matter what you do though. The same applies for a phone, other gadgets/devices, etc. There will always be a new version ... the question is: when are you satisfied enough to just get the current version and be happy with it. Everyone is different

For the g37, the range of quarter mile times is 13.7xx to 14.2xx
For the IS350, the range is 13.0xx to 13.5xx (13.0xx to 13.2xx are with negligible modifications, exhaust/intake only)
For bone stock it's 13.2xx to 13.5xx for the IS350. That's a full half second to .7 seconds faster in the quarter mile than the stock g37 which is..quite a bit.
The g37 is a pig unfortunately. Any acceleration "advantage" from the extra 30 HP was entirely negated by added weight.
Furthermore, the IS350 has more aggressive gearing than the g37, poising it for stronger low end acceleration.
Here are stats for the IS350 -

Yeah, on the test drive, it definitely felt like the 350 was faster than my G.
Oh god ... don't get me started on the modding
I used to mod a ton back when I had my WRX ... it's a dangerous bug once bitten, so I'm hoping to avoid it all!
