Its always funny driving/racing (safely of course) a loud car such as mustang/g8. whenever i punch my car, i cant even hear it over the engine of the other cars and it sounds like I would lose but i pull ahead ever so quietly. it even confuses me on how quiet our cars are.

I test drove my friend's G37S coupe and it did feel a little heavy. Compared that to the G37 Sedan I test drove this past weekend and it felt a little quicker compared to the coupe. G37 coupe feels heavier for me. Compared to the IS350, it's tough to say. IS350 has less hp, but little more tq. Then I went to check out the Audi A4 and fell in love with it. Comfort, LEDs, MMI Navi system, and the interior. Ended up getting the A4 since I'm not looking for speed anymore.

no no no....The 306hp version of the g35 is faster than the g37. The older version g's cant make that claim. The g37 lost some of its torque chasing after that elusive extra 24 hp in the upper rpms.
Ive owned both the 08 g35 and the is350 and have raced the SAME g37 at the track. I've beaten it every time.

I wasn't referring what is actually faster, just the feeling of what is faster.
It also slightly increases throttle response, analogous to how ECT Snow decreases throttle response. Again, you can test this yourself.
Just to clarify- ECT-Power slows the car down in a drag race (ie starting in 1st gear, flooring it till the race is over).
ECT-Power doesn't, ever, actually add any power either.
However, in part-throttle or on/off throttle driving in gears 2-6, it can offer some transmission behavior advantages over normal mode.
For exactly what it does, see here:

When the Cobra pulled up, even at idle exhaust the sound was monstrous and I fully expected to get my *** handed to me (I wanted to see the difference between a 13 second car and a 12 second car..or what I thought was a 12 second car...in terms of car lengths)
Nope, light turns green, the cobra takes off with a ferocious roar, yet I quietly pull on him.
Try driving the IS350 inside a parking garage with the windows down and accelerate a little bit through 1st gear. Completely different sensation. With the enclosed walls of the garage around, you can finally hear something with our windows down and it really adds to the experience.
That's precisely why I'm looking at the f-sport exhuast right now.

A FULL catback exhaust really excites the senses for sure. Some people might be satisfied with the axle back for some time but the real experience comes with the full thing.

Garden State Parkway
around 40mph roll
G37s Floored it
I engaged right behind him.
I slowly gained on him.
Then a lot of traffic hit so I stopped playing around, but had all the satisfaction I needed in knowing that in a straght line, I was faster (slightly, but still faster).
One thing I'm supprised nobody has brought up is how UGLY the G37 is! I would never consider driving one based on style alone!
