Default how many miles before having to change tires?

What up CL fam,

My car has 22k miles on it. I know it depends on the kind of driving, but generally how many miles before having to change stock tires? Lexus is telling me I have to get them changed but I'm thinking I can squeeze a couple more months out of them. I can take pics of the remaining thread if that'll be helpful.

Thank

There will be a groove that runs laterally to the tread and in between the tread that mark is 2/32 at which point you should be changing your tires unless you like to ride dangerously, if you are in a wet state you should probably be doing it at 4/32. It also will depend on the tires you have on, and the treadwear rating on those tires. Assuming you have the oem dunlop sport maxx, UTQG rated at 240, then at 22k you probably should be changing your tires soon. If you have the oem bridgestone re50a or turanza er33, you are way over due.

i'm pretty sure i have the bridgestone tires....

Also..what are some good tires to get? I can't afford to get Ps2's right now but are there any other quality tires at a reasonably decent price that you recommend? If so, any good websites to purchase from?

As always, thanks for the input.

This.

They're better than the PS2s in overall performance, longer treadlife, and half the price.

what.

I just got my original Bridgestone RE050a rears changed out at 42k miles with Sumitomo HTRIII
But had my fronts changed at 25k with Bridgestones. Will be changing them with sumitomos when it's time.

I had the OEM RE92s. I replaced them in January with about 4/32nds and 23,000 miles. I got the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, which I like better than the Bridgestones.
