Default How much to take tpms off my stock wheels?

Just got some aftermarket wheels and now the tpms light has started to blink. Did some search and I think I might make the pipe bomb!
But first where should I go to take off my tpms from my stock wheels and how much is it??and I found that some people put them on the spare?how did they do that

A shop in my local area quoted me $40 to help swap them into my new wheels. But you're not in CA =\

The tpms are stuck on the rim and it should be about 40$ to take off all the rims off the tire and then take off the sensor on all 4 rims. The light wont stop going off on the dash because if you take it off the car wont sense the sensor there. I just changed my all season tires to my summer tires and two of the sensors broke off. Let me know if your gonna sell them ill tak them off your hands.

I just bought an aftermarket set from ebay for $85 shipped. The downside is that you'll need to have the dealer to program it.

You can take the TPMS off yourself. You'll need a deep socket and fit it over the valve stem tube.

Well you can take the tpms sensors off your self, if you can take the tire and rim apart. Or you can go to like American Tire Co and have them swap the tpms sensors from your stock to your new rims (if the new rims are tpms compatible, which most newer rims are), they will charger per tire, maybe around 100.00 total. It beats buying new sensors and having the dealership (the only people than can) reprogram the sensors to you car.

85 shipped for a set of 4 brand new..use the "make offer" option if there is one. I paid some where around 125ish for the dealer to program it. I would see if there are any mechanics willing to do it for cheap on the side (usually there is)

i love my tpms. they have informed me twice when i have gotten flats before the tire could get completely flat. in fact it helped me yesterday.

i don't think i would get aftermarket wheels that couldn't support TPMS.
