Does anyone have or has anyone see the WALD replica trunk spoiler by Nextmod. They sent me an email saying it was 249 shipped and the fitment was perfect. Any help or pictures would be awsome. Not sure to buy this or the real one whick will cost me around 750 painted. Thanks

 

I bought it. The fitment is perfect but when u paint it u have to do some prep like filling some holes it might have. Again every piece is different cuz its fiberglass. Mine is being currently painted. It will be ready next week and I can post pics. I say go with the real one cuz u might be spending 300 dollars for prep work and paint.

 

What do you mean by filling holes it may have? I have a guy where I live that will paint for pretty cheap. Said he would do my whole hood for 300. I might just wait to see yours.

 

some of the inexpensive fiberglass components will have micro holes or striations that will suck the paint into the material causing an inconsistant paint finish.

What usually has to be done is that it must be sanded, primed, painted, clear coated, resanded and painted again

 

Sounds like i might just have to go with the real WALD.

 

Its really not thet hard to work with the fiberglass. They sell a glaze($10) that you can put over the holes before painting. very easy to put on all you have to do is spread it and do a tiny bit of sanding.

 

Here's a little secret... the Authentic one is made out of FIBERGLASS... I had one.. and then I sold it to next mod, who made more of FIBERGLASS

Why spend 700+ for something of the same material and quality? buy it for $250 shipped...

 

Then I guess ill have to buy it from Nextmod

im waiting for the day a wald replica front lip comes out. as of now, im not going to pay 800 one for

 

i wish they made a 09 wald front lip replica. i would rock it so hard.
