Steep driveway, garage, bad idea...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Now thinking about it again andactually rmembering the scraping started when my car was halfway through the garage (at this point the center of my underbody is flush to where the driveway and garage meets) could it have been my cat scraping??

What about using some trays?
Say....go to McDonalds and, ahem...."borrow" (or find some in a plastics store) some serving trays, and just before your exhaust or whatever is scraping starts to scrape, put the trays underneath each side and slowly back out with the trays acting as a sacrificial barrier between the concrete and the exhaust.
Those trays are pretty tough, should do the trick.

wow, that should have a sign that says "SUV parking only"...
back to the OP's problem... seems like if you are scraping at the upper end of the ramp you could solve the problem with a few pieces of wood... pardon the rough drawing, but check this out:

I would try either front or back alone first... would be best if you had someone else watching while you back up slowly, so they can see when you're about to scrape and put the wood on either end to raise up one end. That will change the angle of the underbody and get you up away from the edge. If you put wood on both ends you maintain the same body angle (but gain more height). So if you have lots of wood go for it.
