Looking at an 06 350 with 51k miles, navi, premium package. Also is CPO and covered for 3 yrs or 100k for $23,995. Should I keep looking or does this seem like a good deal?
This doesn't seem like a deal you need to jump on.
I bought my 2007 IS350 with navigation, X-Package, 34K miles, and 100K CPO for $27,995 before taxes, fees, ect.. in March of 2009. This was in Tucson, Arizona so depending on the area you live in prices may be higher?

My father went in for maintenance on his LS460 and he came out with an IS250 loaner, and the first thing he said was "man this thing is way underpowered."
And this is a 50+ year old guy we're talking about who drives an LS..speed is the last thing on his mind, but even he felt it was underpowered.
On the contrary, the IS350 is actually "overpowered" for everyday needs. You won't be able to exploit the acceleration of the IS350 everyday too much because...you will simply accelerate to a high speed too quickly for it to matter, or you'll run into traffic too quickly.
That's precisely why the IS350 and IS-F are so rare on the road. The vast majority of people don't see a need for that sort of power. I mean, what's the ratio of IS250 to IS350 sold, 10:1? 12:1? It's ridiculously skewed in favor of the IS250.
That said, if you're someone in your 20s or 30s (or younger), I think you would enjoy and appreciate the power of the IS350 more (hell even 40s people who wish they were 30s

your only fooling yourself.
I would say if you get bed weather alot go with the 250 but if not 350 all the way. I love my 350. Stepping on the gas is like an adrenalin rush all the time. Im not saying the 250 is slow but 100 horses is a difference. Then if you put the f-sport intake and exhaust you wont regret it at all. I just came out of owning a ES300 and its a hell of a big difference.

To the original poster, here are the stats for the IS350:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...adandtrack.pdf
You'll be getting a reliable luxury sports sedan that does 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds. That's pretty rare these days.
I had a BMW 335i coupe before this and loved the **** out of that car, wish I could've kept it, but it didn't fulfill my reliability needs given how long I intended to keep the car, but the IS350 did well to substitute (and give me much greater peace of mind).

Heres my 2 cents: I own the 250 and I like it BUT i wish I had the power of the 350. So if youre a person who like to drive fast or likes acceleration the 350 is for you! The gas milage for the 350 isnt much worse than the 250 and the cost of the 350 is only a few thousand for over 100 extra horse power. Myself I didnt want the 350 due to the lack of a manual transmission package.
Get the 350 if you dont care about manual transmission.
