Default Fog light change on 2007 is250

anyone got any tips on how to access and change the fog light bulb on the driver's side? i read that there is an access panel that you can get to when the wheel is turned all the way to the right, but when i did that i couldnt see it. do i need to peel back the wheel well liner and remove the clamps first?

^unless you're doing HIDs cause then you would have to find somewhere to moun the ballasts.

if just swapping halogens, do the fender liner thing. took me 15 mins each side for the bulbs.

Actually, on the driver's side, there's a tiny cover you can remove to access the fog light. The hole is about as big as your fist. You won't actually see it inside the wheel well, but it's on the splash guard (or whatever you want to call it) AHEAD of the wheel facing downwards. I think it's held on with one clip. Unfortunately, there isn't one on the passenger side.

Excellent point. When I first discovered it I was amazed that the DIY Fog bulb change threads did not really mention it. But since it's only available on one side, it's not much help. Having said that, peeling back the liners to change the bulb is absolute torture because your hands have to squeeze through and you can't really see what you are doing to the bulb (getting it dirty, inserting it the wrong way, etc). Having removed the bumper many times, I realize now that taking the bumper off instead would have saved a lot of frustration.

lol, i have a work light. helps a lot. one hand to hold the liner, one hand to hold the bulb.

p.s. the 2009 models don't have the access panel.
