Default Rough downshifts IS350

When I'm slowing down to stop but do not come to a complete stop (maybe rolling at 10mph), then get back on the throttle a little the downshift is very rough. Is this common? I haven't driven another 350 to compare.
Thanks

Happens to me on occasion. After awhile, you'll learn YOUR car's throttle and braking responses in regards to the tranny shifting

You can always put the car in "Snow" mode which seems to ease this a little. If i'm in a traffic jam I will put it in "Snow" until the traffic clears. Easier take offs while moving thru slow traffic.

Same thing happens to me usually in traffic. Sometimes when coming to a stop.

Snow mode does a terrific job in making shifts a lot smoother. Torque is actually reduced to the wheels and throttle sensitivity is severely diminished, and it makes for perfect controlled take offs (without wheel spin) in rainy weather.

I use it as more of a "rain mode" in my car, as we don't get snow here. Works perfectly.
