Hey giangy. Check here.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ng-damper.html

That's not to take off the whole steering wheel, but it might be simpler from that point.

Thank you for the link, but the only thing that i'm not sure is how to remove the central screw bolt, and take off the entire steering wheel (i need to replace it)
does i need some particular instruments?

here, http://my.is/forums/f90/step-step-tu...emoval-343462/, they talk about a steering wheel super power puller kit.....what is it?

It looks like that kit screws into the steering wheel on both sides, then you put in a bolt in the middle, and as you turn it, it pushes against the central bolt, lifting the wheel off. Seems like a standard steering wheel puller you can buy at an autoparts store.

http://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=15708901 See examples here.

If you can't find one, what you could try is to loosen the nut, but keep it threaded as you pull real hard to make sure the steering wheel doesn't hit you in the face.

yes in fact the ebay seller of my new lexus steering wheel says that there is no need of the wheel puller to take it off.

anyway i can simply create a wheel puller without problem by myself!

First off park the car straight, I'd suggest you mark the points of alignment between the steering wheel and the mount point. Unhook the battery then take off the steering wheel side covers, this is to remove the bolts that hold the airbag housing. Remove the airbag, then unbolt the steering wheel. Put the bolt back in there just enough to almost come off and then grab the steering wheel with some force on both left and right and start rocking back and forth. Don't forget to leave the bolt screwed in just enough to not let the wheel come flying your way when you fully remove it.

hi, i'm trying to take off the wheel but it seems i'm not able to do that!

i grab the wheel with force on left and right side and pull it by my side with strength, i feel a little bit gap when i'm rocking it back and forth but nothing else.

have i to bang it with some fists or pull it with strength? is there a risk to break something?
