Default Passenger Headlight Shines Further Than Drivers

Has anyone else noticed that the passenger side headlight shines further than the driver side headlight? I called the lexus dealership and they said this was a modification they made so the driver side doesn't shine and blind oncoming cars and the passenger side shines further to see animals and what have you to the side of the road. 06 IS 250

IS THERE ANY WAY TO FIX THIS? It drives me crazy!!

It's supposed to be like that, for the exact reason the dealership told you. It might even be illegal to change it, particularly if you have HIDs.

wow!!! ive always noticed this, but i always assume it was because the previous owner just took care of a headlight better than the other headlight. this is great news to know

I tried raising the driver side light with the vertical adjustment screw, but it didn't really seem to make a difference, perhaps I need to play with the horizontal screw ??.

Yes, the passenger side headlights are suppose to aim a little higher than the driver side. Unless you have a case like mine where the light was hitting the windows of a two story building, LOL!
