why are you taking it to the dealer? you dont have a trusted mechanic? I know they are hard to find but thats the first thing id do. Even with my mechanic I sometimes bring him parts to install. Like if I want NGK spark plugs ill go to autozone and buy them myself and have him install. Bleed the brakes is easy, any mechanic can do that. At 60k you also have some filters to replace which are nothing. I know the dealers know the car in and out but you are paying through your a$$. You can get the job done for about half that from a mechanic. Ask around, ask friends, ask family. Someones gotta know a trusted mechanic in your area.

In short, at 60 the only things you need done are:
Spark Plugs
Brake Fluid change
Oil Change
Engine/Cabin Filter changes (which you ought be doing yourself, takes 5 minutes)
Your mistake was asking for the "60k service"

I tried picking up an oil filter at a very large Toyota dealer, and was turned away. They stated that they do not stock anything for the IS350 because the drivetrain is not common to any "Toyota model".

I am at World Toyota, right down the road from Hennesy...and did you know that both the 250 and the 350 have iridium spark plugs and don't need to be changed until over 100,000 miles? I hope everyone knows this, otherwise changing them at 60k is a waste of money...

In all my years working for Toyota, iridium plugs are good until about 120k....Toyota is moving towards a more maintenance free vehicle line...timing chains instead of belts, iridium plugs, super long life coolant (100k), WS transmission fluid (100k)...sucks for us guys in service though
