Default Please help me make a decision on a 350....

I am close to finalizing a deal and have a few important questions that will assist in my decision. Thanks in advance

1. Car has 75k miles and has a platinum warranty to 100k. I am purchasing from a private party, is this 100% transferrable? Is there anything she or I need to do? Also, she has done all service at a dealership further than where I live, do I have to go to THIS dealership or can I go to a closer one?

2. She has done all service at a dealership further than where I live, do I have to go to THIS dealership or can I go to a closer one? Do I have to continue to do all services at a lexus dealership or will it void the warranty if I dont?

2. She has all the service records and I notice one of the first entries says "tires for life" where they had replaced a tire. What is this exactly? and is it transferrable?

3. Lastly, There seems to be quite a bit of road noise between about 10 miles an hour and 35 miles and hour. It gets pretty loud as I accelerate and then gets loud again as I come to a stop. It doesnt sound like brake noise, more like the road is loud. What could this be? It currently has Potenza RE050's on it.

Thanks so much for any answers. Im close to getting one : )

1. yes it is transferrable.
2. no, u can take it to any dealership to do service. and no it will not void any warranty if u decide to take it to a private mechanic of yur choice.
3. those RE050 are known to have some road noise. throw on some hankook or sumitomo tires on. if u want performance, put on some michelin ps2 tires (expensive stuff)

1) one time probably fo' sho...
2) Save your receipts, but what funnie says.
3) Have it inspected by a dealer/mechanic and make sure its not something like a bearing (which would likely be a covered plat'num warr item)?

Year? 06- fine. 09- why so many miles?

Depends on the dealer.

Most of the ones I've seen suck because of one or more of the following they usually require:

1) All scheduled maintenance must be done at the dealer (and often only THAT dealer) (which means you're going to pay the cost of several sets of tires extra over the "life" of the plan just in this alone

2) They usually give you a limited selection of replacements to pick from.

Anyway, you'll need to read the paperwork on this to see what gotchas it has, and if it's transferable at all. Different dealers do things differently.
