Default my tanabe exhaust

its been roughly 5 months since i installed it, and i still love it! but recently, i been kinda hoping that it would sound louder, even with my fsport intake, i did some search and i asked some questions and im getting a lot on installing midpipe and resonator remove, what are the pros and cons of those and which one would be a better choice? oh and which one sounds better of course :P

Among all the commonly sold US aftermarket exhausts it's the quietest in fact. Which is why I bought it.

So either you're the one with hearing issues or you've not heard very many aftermarket exhausts for the 2IS.

my issue with Tanabe is not the loudness but it makes too much bassy noise and not enough exhaust note, bassy noise can be very loud in cabin @3500 rpm. That's why I got rid of it and bought Lexus HKS.

I have Tanabe and resonator removed, sounds excellent. Not super louder but loud enough where it's actually a noticeable exhaust.

+1, too much bass. the in cabin pressure was annoying

exact reason why i got rid of it and went w/ the F-Sport. Though the F-Sport at times is louder (at WOT), its more of a mid-exhaust note growl. Much better

Just for context-my last car was a 383 stroker with a bigger cam, tri-y headers, no cats, and a full dual dynomax exhaust.

My IS350 with tanabe exhaust is f-ing silent in comparison

(plus the car is nowhere near 3500 rpms when cruising so there's really no issue with in-cabin noise at all)

The tanabe exhaust is extremely quite, most people will never notice you have a aftermarket exhaust unless your sitting in the cabin. People will only hear it at first start up, other then that it sounds stock

I thought about getting mid pipes, but i dont want a raspy exhaust...

So i might see a exhaust shop to at least get something to extended the tips(mid pipes or something?) so it isnt being swallowed by a aftermarket rear lip.
