Default Need Second Opinion on a Used Lexus IS 250 2007 model

Hi,

I am looking for a used Lexus IS 250 with a milege of around 35k. I found a 2007 model with the following service record in the carfax report. Since I havent owned a lexus before, I couldn't decide on this deal. I would appreciate if some Lexus owners could give me some suggestion on these records.

The record shows.
at 25,409 miles ---- Body Noise Checked

at 26,085 miles ---- Fuel line/hose replaced/washed/detalled

rightnow the miles is 39,300.

Regards,
Karthic

How much is the car going for? Are you buying from Lexus or an independent dealer? I think that fuel line/hose was some kind of recall. So I wouldnt worry to much about that. Body noise checked is hard to tell what that means. You'll have to thuroughly look over the car yourself for any body work done. You can also have your local lexus dealer run the vin. This way you'll get service history if the last owner took it to the dealer. I just bought an 07 IS250 AWD with 27k miles from a Lexus dealer. Paid around $27K tax included.

I bought out my lease on a 07 RWD is250 @ 24k with Nav/18 chrome etc for 27k after tax tag and title...the fuel lines was a recall campaign so no worries there. The sound could have just been the owner complaining so they checked it out and found nothing wrong. Seems okay so I would have Lexus run that VIN for the detailed records like oil changes and what not but at under 40k there isnt much I can think of that will be bad. Check the brakes/rotors and tires as those will be the things that might be worn from use that the owner didnt want to pay for so they just traded it in I know at my dealer tires are 700 for front and 750 rear installed and brake/rotor surfacing is 280 for front and 280 for rear. Those prices were given to me today at Lexus of Tampa Bay.

Seems fine to me. Noises we all know is a problem, and the line is covered under warranty. Have Lexus pull a full service history on the vehicle in question.

What is the price they're asking for on the car you've found?

see if u can get it for $22k. the current price is average. The interior noise is a common problem, but u can take it to a local dealership to have them fix it under the warranty.
