as for the tire, yep falken ftl... most ppl here in hawaii, the land of stretch , run on general UMP, sure its not as sexy as toyo and other brands but we run them cuz they work
I have Falken Fk452 for 31k miles. I have no problems with them at all except they are a bit noisy. I am switching them out with some Hankooks soon since my sidewall been bald.

general UMP or UHP? i am going to go a tiny weeny stretch of 265/30 on a 10.5... is that good?
fk452s are known to blow up and bubble up. Thats why I never buy them.
There are many threads with horror stories , im just glad it didnt happen while you were in the freeway.
This +1, I've stayed away from fk452's after it bubbling on me. If you want some good cheap tires to stretch, get nankang ns2's. Nothing but good reviews on VSC
no effing way, i have only heard good things about falken 452s.. and now when this thread comes up im kind of skeptical cus im running them right now. sigh, i have 2 sets of these tires too =.=
