im gonna wrap my grille in either matte black or cf. im gettin the carbon fiber pillars, so i was thinkin mayb i should match my grille with that. but idk matte black is rly nice also. any pics so i can comare? thanks in advance

Look on Sewewll's new site they have cf vinyl wrapped oem bezel, the chrome part around the front grill.

Not that it bothers me but it bulks up the forum. You gotta remember the IS has been out since 2006. Many people have had this idea, have asked this question and have posted pics. i just searched black grill and look what poped up

yea i just joined and didnt know about the search bar lol. i knew there were topics about them but i didnt feel like browsing through the bulk of pages. Plus it doenst help that im a noob with installing stuff. Will deff use this more thanks

What do you guys think about wrapping the grill in glossy black along with the window trim and emblems on an Obsidian? I am debating between that and flat black.

Gloss black isn't bad, I've seen it on several cars. But for the chrome trim, unless your emblems are painted I would leave it as is so that it will flow better with the chrome emblems.

just get a new grill and spray it. You can get a replica pretty cheap unless you're really wanting to keep the oem style specifically. Here's one for an idea.

I hope to get a real CF one soon but this will do for now. The fitment of the replica isnt great but good enough IMO.
