my guess is that it was done in taiwan.
notes from the youtube clip:
- the laser goes through several passes for more even consistent etching
- the technician has done eight or nine sets already
- the edges shouldn't rust (at least that's what the technician says) since it goes through multiple passes to even out the edges
- the laser doesn't heat up the surface, so it remains cool to the touch immediately after the job is complete.
